The “World Cosplay Summit 2021”, the 19th edition of the largest cosplay festival in the world, will take place on the 7th (Sat) and 8th (Sun) of August 2021. It will consist of the real cosplay events centered in the Oasis 21 venue in Sakae, Nagoya, as well as of the online “World Cosplay Championship Video Division”, that will spread the fun from Nagoya all around the world. These events will be streamed live to the entire world. Please join us!

The World Cosplay Summit “World Cosplay Championship” is a competition to determine the best cosplayers of the world, started in the WCS of year 2005. In order to visit Nagoya, Japan as representatives, contestants must win the preliminary rounds held by organizers in each country and region that have a partnership with the WCS. Considering the situation of the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic, the “World Cosplay Summit” is going to be held in 2021 with the new special format of “World Cosplay Championship Video Division”.

Playing, seeing, participating. everything “cosplay” will be here.
The “Oasis 21”, the main venue of the World Cosplay Summit, has become a popular photographing spot among Japanese and international cosplayers all-year round, thanks to its night illumination. Also, the cosplay area will be largely extended around Sakae during the period of celebration of the World Cosplay Summit, with spots such as the “Ōsu shopping district” or the newly redeveloped “Hisaya-odori Park”. These will be crowded with visitors enjoying the events at the special stages and taking cosplay pictures.

Notice of COVID-19 refunds

[Subject to Refund]

(1) When admission is restricted at reception due to fever (37.5 ° C or higher), severe cough, or similar symptoms.
(2) For those who find they have contracted the COVID-19 virus or come into close contact with a person who is positive for COVID-19. (3) Those who entered Japan from a country or region where COVID-19 is spreading during the 14 day period before the event and may be required to take quarantine measures. * Please refer to applicable countries and regions on the Japan Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare

* Provide any applicable certificates from hospitals or health centers as required

If you are unable to participate due to the reasons (1) to (3) above, the ticket price will be refunded.
* Refunds can only be applied for on the day before, or on the day of the event.

(1) (Refund application period: August 6th (Friday) - August 8th (Sunday), 2021)

(2) (3) refunds will be processed if requested by 23:59 on Saturday, August 7th with the applicable refund forms. We will not be able to immediately process applications after that.
* Only the ticket purchase price will be refunded. Travel costs, transportation fees or related expenses will not be compensated.

In the case of (1) above, after confirming the contact information (name, email address, telephone number) of the parties, WCS will contact you with the application form.

In the case of (2) or (3) above, refer to the following:
① Refund application form information
・ An email entitled "Refund Procedures" will be sent to the email address provided.
・ Respond to the email with pertinent transfer information such as personal details, bank information or any relevant certification.
・ WCS Co., Ltd. will respond to the transfer within one week after confirming the transfer information.
Do be aware that there will not be a follow up email upon completion of any payment.

Please note that we will not accept cancellations or refunds after the application period.
