TICKET

At the World Cosplay Summit, attendees who plan to cosplay should acquire the "Cosplay Participation Ticket," while those interested in photography should obtain the "Camera Participation Ticket."
Upon purchasing tickets, attendees will receive a "Proof of participation" at the reception, which serves as identification as event participants.
Please note that staff members may approach attendees without a proof of participation.
Revenue generated from ticket sales will contribute to cover the operation expenses of the event, and we sincerely appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the ongoing success of the World Cosplay Summit.

Unfortunately, ticket exchanges and refunds are not available.

Please go to the reception desk at the designated changing room reception to exchange your "Cosplay Changing Room Ticket (including participation ticket)." To avoid confusion, please cooperate by queuing and waiting in line.

The cosplay participation ticket will be processed at the "World Cosplay Summit Special Reception" in the Central Park Underground Mall (Location: Near Exit 26 on the north side of Central , in front of Seijo Ishii).

Yes, the ticket prices for both the "Cosplay Changing Room Ticket (including participation ticket)" and the "Cosplay Participation Ticket" are priced per person per day. If you plan to attend on both days, please ensure to purchase tickets for each day accordingly.

If you are unable to attend the event, the transfer of your ticket to some acquaintance like your family or friends is not forbidden.

If you plan to participate and take photographs during the cosplay event, you should purchase either the "Cosplay Changing Room Ticket (including participation ticket)" or the "Cosplay Participation Ticket".

Those who only wish to take photos or simply watch the stage can also participate.

For those who want to take photos at the World Cosplay Summit 2024, a "Camera Participation Ticket" is required. Please purchase in advance.

For those who only want to watch without cosplaying, or for casual smartphone photography, no participation ticket is required.

You only need to visit the reception on Saturday to complete the registration for both days, so there's no need to return on Sunday.

Unfortunately, we do not offer discounted rates for individuals with disabilities at this time. Please purchase tickets at the current available rates.

While cosplaying at the Osu Shopping Arcade does not require a ticket as usual, if you intend to visit event venues such as Oasis 21 or Hisaya Odori Park, please make sure you have a participation ticket. Staff will approach those without a proof of participation.

Once the "Cosplay Changing Room Tickets (including participation tickets)" are sold out, there will be no further sales for this ticket type.

COSPLAY

Upon registration for the admission ticket, we will conduct a cosplay check based on the event participation rules.
Please come to the reception desk either in full cosplay attire or with all the props ready to be worn.

If your costume restricts your movement after wearing it, please bring the props to the reception desk before putting it on.
If you are unable to bring the props to the reception desk, you can present photos or other evidence to assist the reception procedures.

To join the World Cosplay Summit 2024, simply purchase either the "Cosplay Participation Ticket" or the "Cosplay Changing Room Ticket (including participation ticket)." After obtaining your ticket, undergo a costume check at the reception, receive your proof of participation, and you're ready to join the event.

Unfortunately, we can't confirm the suitability of every prop or attire individually.

Please review the event participation regulations and exercise discretion when selecting your attire. Some items may require intervention by staff during the event. Kindly follow the instructions provided by event staff.

According to the participation regulations, the use of fake blood and any violent depictions like blood or bruises is prohibited.
As this event takes place in public spaces, we kindly request that all expressions refrain from causing distress or shock to teenage audiences who may be present.

It's prohibited to wear authentic or historically used uniforms, including military and police attire.
However, homemade costumes inspired by manga or anime are acceptable.
Using real-world uniforms for characters is not permitted due to potential concerns in public areas.

Excessive exposure refers to revealing underwear or intimate areas, which may breach moral standards. If such violations occur, venue staff will kindly remind you. Thank you for your cooperation.

When moving within or outside the event venue, where your attire might attract attention, please wear outer garments to be considerate of others.

While the World Cosplay Summit allows participants to change into their cosplay attire at their reserved hotels, please avoid changing or applying makeup in public areas or restrooms.
If you intend to arrive dressed in cosplay attire and ready to participate, please consider purchasing the "Cosplay Participation Ticket."
Upon arrival at the event venue, undergo a cosplay attire and props check at the reception desk to collect your proof of participation.

Yes, cosplay is permitted. The Osu Shopping District is designated as a cosplay-friendly area, allowing for commemorative photos. However, please refrain from organizing gatherings for cosplay photo shootings.

Wooden swords are not allowed.
However, if a sword is made of a soft material that resembles wood and is used solely as a prop, it is permitted.
Additionally, if wood is used as the core of the handle and coated with a safe material to prevent harm, it is also allowed.
When dealing with weapons, prioritize lightweight materials to ensure the safety of everyone.
Please use safe and non-hazardous materials or modify them accordingly, referring to toy standards if needed.

Unfortunately, there is no designated area for makeup touch-ups at the event venue. If you need to freshen up your makeup, we recommend purchasing a changing room ticket and using the facilities provided there.

Helium-filled balloons are not permitted in the basement of Oasis 21.
However, you may use air-filled balloons as props.
In venues other than Oasis 21, helium-filled balloons are allowed as props.

Yes, from August 2nd (Friday) to 4th (Sunday), you are allowed to ride Nagoya Municipal Subway and Nagoya City Bus while dressed in cosplay.
During your commute, please be mindful of others and wear an outer layer, covering any large props to ensure the comfort of fellow passengers.

While the World Cosplay Summit does not have specific rules against such attire, activities that are typically restricted in daily life are not allowed at the event.
Please follow the instructions of station staff.
The World Cosplay Summit takes place in public areas.
We kindly ask that you take steps to ensure the comfort and safety of those around you and avoid causing undue concern among the general public.

Before proceeding, please ensure that your airsoft gun complies with all regulations outlined in the "Public Nuisance Prevention Ordinance," "Minor Offenses Act," and "Firearms and Swords Control Law." Any items prohibited by these laws in daily life will not be permitted at cosplay events.

Acceptable examples include:

Airsoft guns with their muzzles completely sealed, power turned off, and no ammunition loaded.
Homemade replicas with no firing mechanism. (During transportation, ensure they are securely stored in cases to reassure the general public of their safety and security.)

Male cosplayers are permitted to showcase their bare upper bodies, such as depicting muscular definition, while keeping their lower body covered. Please ensure that underwear or genital areas are not visible and maintain decorum.

Event staff may provide reminders on-site, so please follow their instructions. When moving between venues in revealing costumes, we kindly request that you add extra layers to minimize exposure and be considerate of others.

 

PHOTO SHOOTING

When photographing cosplayers, please be sure to obtain individual consent from each cosplayer before taking any photos.

For further details, please consult the event participation rules.

If it's solely for taking commemorative photos with general attendees or children, we kindly ask you to accommodate such requests in a reasonable space that doesn't obstruct pathways, particularly when these are congested.

Yes, they are permitted.

However, please refrain from using items like single-legged stands or objects directly on the floor, as they could damage the glass floor of the Spaceship-Aqua area.

 

EVENTS

We conduct a general participation runway stage called "Cosplay Summit Selection". For more information, please check the page of applications for Cosplay Summit Selection participants. It is recommended that participants have basic Japanese language skills for stage appearances.

To represent your country, you should participate in selection events held within your own nation. Depending on your country or region, advancing through local qualifiers may be necessary. By competing in these selection events and emerging victorious, you will earn the title of representative cosplayer and the chance to compete in the World Cosplay Championship, aiming for the coveted title of world champion.

We kindly ask that each team submit their application only once.

To ensure as many people as possible have the opportunity to participate, please refrain from submitting multiple applications by simply swapping out team representatives within the group. If multiple entries from the same team are selected, we may invalidate the selection, so please be aware of this in advance.

CHANGINGROOM

Yes, you can use the changing room solely for storing luggage without changing attire. However, to maintain order and avoid confusion, we kindly ask that you wait in line like other attendees.

Yes, you can enter and exit the changing room multiple times. However, please join the waiting queue each time you enter.

The space for each person is approximately 1 meter by 1 meter in size. If you anticipate needing more space, please inform the reception staff beforehand. However, please note that if space is not immediately available, we may need to prioritize others first.

 

OTHER

During the event period at each venue, any distribution or promotional activities not authorized by official sponsors are prohibited.

Yes, from August 2nd (Friday) to August 4th (Sunday), you can ride the Nagoya Municipal Subway and Nagoya City Bus while in cosplay. When traveling, please remember to be considerate of others by wearing a jacket or covering longer props.

August 3 (Saturday) and August 4 (Sunday) are scheduled from 11:00 to 21:00.

Yes, it is. Since many members of the public also utilize these services, please ensure proper etiquette while using them. Please note that there may be times, such as during peak hours, when cosplay may not be permitted. If unsure, please inquire with the store upon entry.

After the event concludes, we will gather all lost items from the venue and hand them over to the nearby police station. Please contact the local police station directly to inquire about your lost item.
