World Cosplay Summit 2025 offers three types of media application categories for press and media representatives who wish to cover the event.
Please choose the appropriate category based on your intended coverage.
All applications are subject to review. Passes will be distributed at the on-site reception.

【1】General Media Coverage (Event atmosphere, attendees, street views, etc.)
This application is intended for those seeking relatively flexible on-site coverage such as general event atmosphere, venue scenery, cosplay in the city, or casual interviews with attendees and cosplayers.
*Until July 25, a press manual (PDF) will be sent upon approval.
- Eligible for: TV news / Newspapers / Web articles / YouTube / Newsletters / Doujin magazines
- Review: Light screening required
- Application deadline: Thursday, July 31, 2025
- If you apply the day before, please note that we may decline filming depending on the content.

【2】Feature Media Coverage (TV programs, magazines, special projects, etc.)
If you are planning to feature the World Cosplay Summit in a TV program (e.g., variety shows), magazine, or video series, or if you wish to interview specific guests or staff members, please apply here.
Please also use this category if you plan to conduct large-scale surveys or interviews.
- Eligible for: TV / Radio / Magazines / Online publications / Major web media
- Required: Program or feature title, interview purpose, media outlet information
- Review: Proposal required. Our PR team will contact you to confirm interview details.
- Application deadline: At least15 business days before the intended interview date

【3】Embedded Coverage of Championship Contestants
If you wish to closely cover national representatives participating in the main program “World Cosplay Championship,” please apply here.
- Eligible for: Documentaries / International broadcasts / Special project videos
- Requirements: Target country and contestant name, coverage schedule, proposal submission
- Access to backstage areas requires the issuance of a “Red Pass” (Access and Backstage Pass)
- Application deadline: At least15 business days before the intended interview date (negotiable)

Notes (Applicable to all)
- Please be mindful of portrait and privacy rights when filming general attendees or participants.
- A valid pass must be presented when filming or recording within the venue.
- Depending on the size of filming equipment, advance notice may be required.
- Coverage may be declined at the discretion of the organizer, either in advance or on the day.
