Nagoya University of Arts presents WCS2024 Eve Festival – Red Carpet Ceremony –

 

 

The highly acclaimed “Nagoya University of the Arts presents World Cosplay Summit 2024 Eve Festival Red Carpet Ceremony” from last year is set to be held again this year!

 

On the first day, August 2nd (Fri), Oasis 21 will become the ceremony venue with a luxurious red carpet.

 

During the Red Carpet Ceremony, representatives from 36 countries and regions participating in the “World Cosplay Championship” and past representatives (WCS Alumni) will gather in Nagoya! Along with VIP guests, they will walk down the Red Carpet at Oasis 21.

 

Luxurious live performance by over 100 students from the Faculty of Arts, Nagoya University of the Arts!

 

We will perform numerous masterpieces befitting the world’s largest cosplay festival! Held at the special stage in Oasis 21. Viewing is free and open to anyone.

 

About the Eve Festival

This year, Nagoya University of the Arts, celebrating its 70th anniversary, will put more effort than ever before into performing numerous masterpieces befitting the world’s largest cosplay festival. Performance Information

 

 

Conductor: Hiroyuki Endo

Associate Professor at Nagoya University of the Arts.
Born in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. Graduated at the top of his class from Tokyo Conservatoire Shobi, and performed at the graduation concert. Completed the diploma course at the same school. Studied saxophone under Yuji Ishiwata, Shinichi Iwamoto, and Masato Kumoi, chamber music under Yoshiyuki Hattori and Mariko Hattori, and conducting under Hisaki Hashimoto. Held solo recitals in Gifu Melsa Hall in 2001, Nagoya The Concert Hall in 2003, 2004, and 2014, all of which were well received. As a member of the Arion Saxophone Quartet, released the first album “Arion’s Harp (FLCP-210027)” in 2014. While active as a saxophonist, he also teaches many amateur bands as a wind band instructor. After serving as an associate professor at a junior college, he is currently a member of Arion Saxophone Quartet, Trio Wisteria, Wind Ensemble GAJA, representative of Unita Della Sax, permanent conductor of Lulou Brass Orchestra (Komaki City), and representative of Rise Music.

 

 

 

 

 

Electone Performance: Masafumi Takano

Started performing overseas in the early 1980s.
Widely and firmly supported under the name Max TAKANO in countries he visited in Europe, America, the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania. Began full-scale activities in Japan following high praise from stakeholders after performing at the launch of the HX series in 1987. Known for his unique style of playing various genres of music as a one-man orchestra (STAGEA Phil) with a single Electone, delivering a performance like a conductor. He has published numerous CDs and sheet music. In addition to performing, he is involved in composing, arranging, conducting, and concert production. Actively engaged in educational activities, fostering the next generation. Currently, a professor at Nagoya University of the Arts.

 

 

 

 

Nagoya University of the Arts Wind Orchestra: About Wind Music

Since the establishment of the Faculty of Music at Nagoya University of the Arts, annual regular concerts have been held since 1982 to enhance wind ensemble classes. Actively participates in public events, contributing to the community through music. Has performed at the Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Concert, Japan Band Clinic, Chubu Japan Band Association 50th Anniversary Main Event, WASBE 2007 (Ireland), Mid Europe (Austria), Jeju International Wind Ensemble Festival (Korea), all receiving high praise. Won the Grand Prize at the European Youth Music Festival (Belgium). Recently, recorded CDs have been released from “Sumiya” and “De Haske” in the Netherlands, with more than 10 releases. Also recorded reference sound sources for the Chubu Japan Band Association’s required pieces and Music Eight’s reference sound sources.
