8/5 (Fri) About the World Cosplay Summit Eve-Festival

This year we celebrate the 20th edition of the event with the World Cosplay Summit 2022 ~20th Anniversary~

On 5 August (Fri), the World Cosplay Summit 2022 will kick off turning Oasis 21 into the venue of a Nagoya University Of Arts presents “red carpet ceremony”!

Nagoya University Of Arts presents “red carpet ceremony” and cosplay event will take place on 5 August (Fri) as a WCS Eve-Festival.

The representatives of each country and region in the “World Cosplay Championship Stage Division”, the contest to crown the best cosplayers in the world, will gather in Nagoya together with the representatives of previous editions (WCS alumni) in order to attend the red carpet ceremony (opening ceremony)!
They will walk down the red carpet laid at Oasis 21, Nagoya, accompanied by special guests.

* The participation of representative cosplayers and past representatives (WCS alumni) of each country and region is limited this year to the cosplayers of the countries and regions able to come to Japan. (Participating countries and regions not able to come to Japan are expected to appear online)

Cosplay photographing is also possible!!

We are looking forward to welcoming cosplayers and photographers at the venue!!

Viewing: Free at the seated spectator area at the special stage and the standing spectator area around the red carpet
Participants: Representatives of the countries and regions coming to Japan (approximately 15 teams expected), WCS alumni and more…!
