It is possible to ride the Nagoya Municipal Subway and the Nagoya Municipal Bus in cosplay in the period comprised between 5 August (Friday) and 7 August (Sunday). Please mind of your surroundings and cover yourselves with an outer garment and make sure that long-shaped accessories and photographing instruments are not a nuisance to other passengers.

There will be changing rooms arranged in the vicinity of the venues. The changing rooms are separate for men and for women, and a paid “Cosplay changing room ticket” is required. Please come to the changing rooms after having purchased a “Cosplay changing room ticket” in advance. Please take into account that “Cosplay changing room tickets” will not be sold on site. Changing clothes outside the changing rooms (in places such as public restrooms) is strictly forbidden.

When taking pictures of cosplayers, please make sure that you have obtained the previous consent of each of the photographed persons. Please check the rules for participation in the events for more details.

The online streaming is expected to be available through YouTube, Niconico live streaming, Facebook Live, Twitch and Locipo.

Please participate in the representative selection rounds that take place in your own country. Depending on the participating country or region, it may be required to go through regional selection rounds. Those who have participated and won their representative selection rounds become the representative cosplayers, and earn the right to participate in the World Cosplay Championship, a tournament to determine the best cosplayers of the world. * In case that it is not clear whether a representative selection round is taking place in your own country, please write to the Executive Office at the following address: inquiry-e@wcs.co.jp .

The space assigned to each person is approximately 1 m × 1 m. If you foresee that this changing space could not be sufficient, please tell it to the reception staff in advance. Also, please acknowledge that other persons may be asked to use the changing room before you in case that it is not possible to secure enough space immediately.

Participation is also open to persons who just want to take pictures or view the stage events. A “Participation ticket for photographers” is required for those persons who would like to take pictures at the World Cosplay Summit 2022. Please purchase them in advance. The staff at the reception desk will provide you a proof of participation (a towel). A participation ticket is not required for spectators not in cosplay and for casual passers-by taking some pictures with their smartphones.

Please wear a mask while at the venues, do not shout or speak loudly and keep enough distance with the other participants. Please check the rules for participation in the events.
