Event ① Cosplay photo contest

World “HERO’S” Cosplay Grand Prix

We are having a cosplay photo grand prix! The winners will receive an original illustration with an autograph of Hiro Mashima!

Details of the submissions for the photo contest

Cosplay pictures of characters appearing in the following 4 works of Hiro Mashima (Selected works: RAVE, FAIRY TAIL, EDENS ZERO, Mashima HERO’S)
One person can submit multiple applications.
Application is also possible with cosplay pictures shot and produced in the past.
There is no age limit for the applicants. Persons under 18 years of age may apply upon obtaining the permission of their parents or guardians.

Announcement of the results of the contest

A panel of judges including Mr. Hiro Mashima will choose the winner of the Grand Prix from the nominated entries selected by the Executive Office!

Details of the application for the runway stage

Application is open for approximately 10 groups that can participate in a runway at the cosplay stage with characters appearing in the following 4 works of Hiro Mashima. In case that the number of applicants is greater, the Executive Office will select the participants and contact directly with them. (Selected works: RAVE, FAIRY TAIL, EDENS ZERO, Mashima HERO’S)
Up to 3 persons can appear on stage together as one group.
There will be no onstage rehearsals on the day of the event. Explanations about activities on the stage will be provided before appearing on stage.
There is no age limit for the participants. Persons under 18 years of age may apply upon obtaining the permission of their parents or guardians.

Other important points

It is required to purchase separately a “Cosplay changing room ticket (including participation ticket” or a “Cosplay participation ticket” for all the participants.
The event will be streamed live on the internet.
Pictures and videos of the stage will be published on social media sites, and can also be featured in materials such as the promotion of future events related with the World Cosplay Summit.

Description of the installation

A photo spot inspired in the covers of the comic books of the following three titles will be placed at the venue. You can take pictures freely during the day, so please be kind to other visitors.

Event ④ Cosplay gathering

Take a group picture together with everyone at the Gathering Square

Date and time: 7 August (Sun) 16:00~16:30
Venue: Gathering Square (North side of the Hisaya-odori Park Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER)
Please come to the Gathering Square before 16:00.

What is a gathering?

It is a meeting in cosplay of characters belonging to the same original work or to titles falling under a common theme, with the purpose of socializing and taking pictures. This time, we are looking forward to gathering persons in cosplay of the following four original works of Hiro Mashima, so we can take a commemorative picture together!

Others

A cosplay photo book will be released at a later date!

As a part of this project. it is expected to release a cosplay photo book including the entries submitted to the cosplay photo contest and pictures taken at the stage during the day, among others.
